Norman Solomon — fellow-West-Marinite, brilliant author and public-interest advocate — is running for the 6th District (Marin/Sonoma) Congresswoman seat. Longtime Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey (D) is expected to announce retirement this week, and we need a strong, progressive voice representing us in Washington, D.C.

Norm is more than a list of his (seemingly endless) activities and efforts on behalf of truth and justice (I know, sounds like a cheese comic book line … sorry … still waiting for my 3rd cup of Balinese coffee to kick in) — Norm represents an opportunity to insert a fresh dose of integrity and liberal ideology into Washington.
Furthermore, Norm is also a relentless critic of evil PR, writing numerous books about manipulative and deceptive media practices. As a long-time PR guy myself, supporting progressive organizations and environmental issues which are constantly and tremendously outspent by corporate interests, I’m personally grateful for his efforts to shed daylight on, and to raise public awareness about, the forces at work behind the scenes.
